Lars has been teaching since 2016, where he taught voice as part of his senior capstone under the direction of Jermaine Hill. Since then, Lars has held a small voice studio of his own, and began teaching voice and piano in the city and the suburbs. As a voice teacher, Lars relies heavily on the correct production of breathing, speech, and sound. He believes in injury-prevention work in order to provide a long-lasting career in the arts. As a piano teacher, he strives to create rhythm-conscious muscle memory in the most fun way possible. Lars works on creating musicians, not singers, so expect to learn how to take your craft to the next level of artistry. Lars has recently come back to the suburbs to pursue higher education in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University, and plans to pursue both a Masters' and PhD in the field. Lars is an American MENSA Member, and was named one of Windy City Times' 30 Under Thirty in 2019.
